Professor Seth Stein has been elected President of the American Geophysical Union Focus Group on Natural Hazards

The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences is pleased to announce that Professor Seth Stein has been elected President of the American Geophysical Union's Focus Group on Natural Hazards. The Focus Group on Natural Hazards studies a wide range of geophysical hazards, including but not limited to: droughts, earthquakes, fires, floods, landslides, and tsunamis. Professor Stein will begin a 2-year term as President starting on January 1st, 2017. Click here find out more about the mission of the Focus Group on Natural Hazards.
